On the morning of this September 11th, in a hospital in Mexico City, Benito Castro died who was closely related to Paco Stanley.
If anything characterized the 77-year-old actor and singer, it was the honesty with which he dealt with his audience. On more than one occasion, this honesty got him into trouble, especially because of it controversial statements he made about Paco Stanley.
In October 2022, during an interview with Adela Micha, the interpreter of “Papiringo” revealed some of his addictions and, in turn, some of the Mexican presenter.
“With Paco Stanley, my liver grew two degrees, two degrees,” he joked. “Paco warned of the two worst races on the face of the earth,” he said, referring to the English and the Galicians.
While in 2021, he assured the Golden Scorpion, in the YouTube program “Escorpión al Volante”, that “with Paco Stanley he was drinking alcohol from the moment we arrived at the office at 11 in the morning”.
Likewise, he assured it snacks and alcoholic beverages were never lacking in the more than five years they worked together. He even described the host of “Alegrías de Mediodía” as the “second on board”.
However, one of the most controversial statements he made about Paco Stanley was made in 2020, during an interview with journalist Gustavo Adolfo Infante.
At the time, Benito Castro told the host how shocking it was for him to find out his best friend had been murdered. The actor assured that he immediately went on stage to support his wife Paco Stanley. However, he explained that this decision brought him to an awkward moment.
“When I did it, it was like a festival. They searched me… well, they were nervous “One of the Public Ministry asked me if I had sexual relations with Paco Stanley” he stated in “The Minute That Changed My Fate.”
“He also asked me if Paco gave us coke (and I told him) “No, he didn’t give it to me, I bought it and sometimes I gave it to him and sometimes he gave it to me” (…) That’s why they call it a parrot, because they take it out and it flies, you have to share it, otherwise it doesn’t know. Going on a trip to the bathroom alone is no joke, you have to go chat with another guy to make the trip taste good,” he added.
While on the documentary “The show, Chronicle of a Murder,” which premiered this year on ViX, Benito Castro spoke about Paco Stanley’s closeness with Amado Carrillo. drug dealer known to the world as “The Lord of the Skies”.
“I was careful, very careful, I realized when I got to the office that there were two Suburbans, a Lincoln and a Cadillac standing at the door and a bunch of armed cannons. Villalobos tells me, pass him. Here he is with the Lord,” he described.
“I open the door, knock and he says: ‘Dude, this is my friend so-and-so’ (…) Then I heard him leave, I went in with Pako and all I managed to say to him was: ‘How nice,'” he pointed out.
Benito Castro died at the age of 77 this September 11th as a result of a fall suffered at home. According to his daughter, Debbie Castro, the actor fell down the stairs. The blow left him rib fractures and punctured lung, as multiple bruises on the chest and a heavy blow to the head.
