Regis Danese leaves intensive care, but remains unexpectedly discharged

Regis Danese left the intensive care unit of the UMC hospital, in Uberlândia. However, the singer’s press office explained that his discharge is not yet expected due to the outcome of the MRI exam, which remains unchanged.

“The patient was transferred from the intensive care unit of the UMC hospital to the room and continues the rehabilitation process,” the hospital’s press office specified in a medical bulletin released on Tuesday (9/12).

On Friday (8/9), Danese was transferred from a hospital in Goiânia to another unit in Minas Gerais to continue treatment. The artist suffered fractures to three ribs, his chest and his wrist after suffering a car accident on BR-153, in Jaraguá.

“Winning every stage, every day. It hurts a lot, but the victory is bigger than any pain I feel,” the singer said last week, just days after undergoing stomach surgery.

Transfer to hospital

The artist was initially admitted to the Governador Otávio Lage de Siqueira (Hugol) State Emergency Hospital, in Goiânia, Goiás, but was transferred to the UMC Hospital, in Uberlândia, at the request of the musician himself, who, according to the medical teams report: “He was in good general health, was conscious and breathing spontaneously.”

Regis Danese requested the transfer for two main reasons: proximity to family and place of residence. Her youngest daughter, Brenda Danese, 14, who lives in the city of Minas Gerais, had difficulty visiting her father due to her school commitments.
