On June 4, the daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated her first birthday. And today other details of the holiday have become known. In particular, what kind of cake did the little birthday girl and her guests enjoy that day. Taking to social media, London-based bakery Violet Cakes, whose confectioners were tasked with creating the special treat, shared an image of it on social media.
It was a real pleasure to bake this special cake last week for Lilibet’s birthday. We wish her a very happy year! – said under the picture, in which the pastry chef adds the finishing touches to a two-tiered cream-colored cake, decorated with white and pink peonies.
It is worth saying that the choice of this particular bakery is not accidental – Violet Cakes confectioners were the authors of the cake served at the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. In Lilibet’s birthday treat, they left an “Easter egg” reminiscent of that day.
Inside is an Amalfi lemon and elderberry cake that we created for the Duke and Duchess’ 2018 wedding. But this time we covered it with strawberry buttercream especially for Lilibet, the authors said.
