The ‘A Fazenda’ presenter participated in ‘Xica da Silva’, on the now defunct TV Manchete, in 1996
Presenter Adriane Galisteu, 50, recalled the “difficulties” she experienced during her participation in the telenovela Xica da Silvabroadcast by TV Manchete in 1996. The host of The farmof Record, revealed that she was traumatized after the negative reviews of her participation and that she was ‘punished’ by director Walter Avancini for not agreeing to remain naked in the plot.
Galisteu played Clara, the sister of Xica, played by protagonist Tais Araújo. “When I did ‘Xica da Silva’, which was my first moment as an actress, I was a little traumatized by that telenovela, firstly because they killed me, secondly because I was almost bald, thirdly because It wasn’t worth it. It made sense to me to be there,” he said in an interview with PocCast.
“I was hired to do nine chapters and for what I was hired I did very well, I received only praise […] My character was going to die in the ninth episode, in [cena] of rape. They decided to hire me until the end of the soap opera, the person got excited, said “I’ll sign, I did well, everyone has fun”. My love, the moment I wrote it, the house was falling, they were demolishing it in a way, then the director was also crazy, the soap opera didn’t end, he wanted to leave me naked, I said ‘I won’t take my clothes off ‘”, has continued.
Adriane had already posed naked for the magazine Playboy. According to her, the director tried to use the evidence as justification for the nudity scenes in the plot, but she did not accept it. Galisteu considers that he “remained grounded until the end of the novel” as a form of punishment.
“I died and was resurrected three times. I died in the rape, he decided to resurrect, then I complained so much that I wanted to leave the soap opera, which [achei] He takes me out because I ask so much to leave, then they stab me, he revives me again. Then they ripped off my ear, I drowned, I came back and ran this soap opera like a banshee. […] In the end I became a vampire, because he painted my face all white, without ears, a banshee, I was punished until the end of the novel,” she added.
