Ferrari turns its heartthrob drivers into catwalk models

The Italian Scuderia took advantage of a fashion event to promote the fashion side of the brand

A video posted by Ferrari in September, during Milan Fashion Week, went viral on TikTok over the weekend.

The staging includes a casting, that is, a model test for a fashion show. Those who appear before the evaluators are the two drivers of the Italian team.

First of all, the Frenchman Charles Leclerc. “He IS cute, but isn’t he super fast?” says one booker, alluding to the speed on the Formula 1 tracks. “Not bad,” replies the other recruiter.

Then the Spaniard Carlos Sainz Jr. appears, also parading. “It’s beautiful, but again so fast…”

Ferrari often launches fads with its products in its signature red. The beauty and popularity of the drivers help increase revenue from T-shirts, caps and other items.

Their performance in the championship and their visibility in the media contribute to the brand’s revenue. In 2022, Ferrari reported a net profit of 939 million euros (R$5.1 billion at current prices).
