Michelle Williams will narrate the audiobook of Britney Spears’ autobiography

Actress Michelle Williams (“Venom”), a five-time Oscar nominee, was asked by Britney Spears to narrate her autobiography, “The Woman in Me.” Spears will read the introduction, while Williams will narrate the rest of the work.

According to Spears, this book was a “labor of love and all the emotions that come with it,” making reliving it all exciting, but also painful. For this reason, the singer will only read a small portion of her audiobook, expressing gratitude to Williams for narrating the rest of her.

Williams, who competed for a best actress Oscar this year for “The Fabelmans,” summed up her involvement in the project with a brief comment: “I support Britney.”

The book

Gallery Books, published by Simon & Schuster, will publish the book on October 24 in the United States. In a press release, the publisher described the book as “a courageous and surprisingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith and hope,” highlighting “the enduring power of music and love – and the importance of a woman telling your story, on your terms.

The lyrics also highlight that “The Woman in Me” reveals for the first time Spears’ incredible trajectory and the strength that lies in one of the greatest performers in the history of pop music.

Shortly after her conservatorship ended, Spears signed a major publishing deal to publish the book. Reports suggest Spears could receive up to $15 million over the matter.

The audiobook edition of “The Woman in Me” will be released at the same time as the print editions on October 24.
