The prosecutor’s request came after a man claimed he had been ignored by the actor’s family.
Event promoter and presenter David Brazil took to social media this Wednesday the 18th to make a appeal to the driver who hit Kayky Brito, Diones Coelho, so as not to expose the actor’s family and move on with his life. The request came after the driver felt “ignored” by the celebrity’s family and also by Kayky himself: “very cold”.
In a post on his Instagram profile, David expressed his opinion on the matter. “But guys… move on with your lives, love. He has already played his role, he has received affection and help from people. Forcing friendship and even outing people is starting to get mad, right guys?,” he wrote.
In the comments, Internet users also wanted to express their opinion on the matter. “I agree” The boy is alive and well now, he keeps dancing, brother. Every man for himself!”, agrees one. “I think he just wanted a hug and to see that he was really okay. And to think that he asked a lot for Kayky’s life, but…”, one wrote. “As always, picking the wrong fight,” said another.
Remember the case
Kayky Brito, 34, was hit by app driver Diones Coelho da Silva, while crossing the road in the early hours of September 2, in Barra da Tijuca, west Rio. He was rescued and hospitalized. Miguel Couto Hospital, in Leblon, in very serious condition with polytrauma and head trauma.
The actor was then transferred to the Copa D’Or, where he remained in intensive care for 27 days until he was released to recover at home last week (10).
In an interview with iG Gente, Diones said he felt ignored by the actor’s family, who prevented the two from meeting after his medical discharge. Kayky Brito even posted a video of her thanking the driver. He, in turn, strengthened his search for a meeting with the actor.
“Kayky didn’t reply to me in the video. I sent him a direct message and he didn’t reply. I already tried to contact him and got no response. I feel something very cold from there, in terms of being I can see him. I want to hug him , I need it to seal and take something off,” he said.
According to Diones, Sthefany Brito also usually doesn’t respond to his messages seeking a meeting with Kayky. “Yesterday he texted me back and said I would come see Kayky when the time was right,” she said.
“Kayky didn’t answer me at any time. He didn’t even mention my name in the video he posted. He thanked the driver and the driver has a name, Diones Coelho da Silva, hard worker, good person, who just wants meet it. Hug it, seal it and move on,” he says.
After backlash from his speech on social media, Diones said he “won’t say anything more and will move on” and said his speech was distorted.
