“I spent an absurd amount”: at 2.16 m, Shaquille O’Neal tells how he manages to ‘get into’ luxury cars

Entrepreneur and commentator, former basketball player has obtained a fortune estimated at R$ 1.9 billion

The “giant” Shaquille O’Neal built a fortune during his successful basketball career, while also acting as a businessman, commentator, actor and singer. With an estimated net worth of $400 million, approximately R$1.9 billion, the former player has never hidden his passion for luxury sports cars, often posing with Ferrari and Lamborghini models.

At 7 feet 10 inches tall, O’Neal has to find a way to fit into luxury cars. To People magazine, the former player revealed the secret to dedicating himself to sport and says it’s the only time he “wishes he was shorter”.

“I would buy two cars, customize them, spend a lot of money and take the top off to make it fit,” O’Neal reveals. “There are those moments when I wish I were shorter, apart from that I’ve never thought about it”, he jokes.

Four-time champion of the NBA, the greatest basketball league in the world, Shaquille O’Neal won titles with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat. He also won Olympic gold at the 1996 Games and the 1994 Basketball World Cup. Off the court he works as a commentator and businessman, as well as having acted in 12 films and recorded four rap albums.
