The Royal Ascot equestrian competitions started at the beginning of the week and are already coming to an end. The first and second days of the race have already been visited by Princess Beatrice with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne and Countess Sophie of Wessex, as well as Mike and Zara Tindall. Last Thursday, the latter returned to the racetrack to watch some more exciting races and show off their best outfits. They were joined at the event by the late Princess Diana’s nieces and Earl Charles Spencer’s daughter – Amelia and Eliza Spencer – with their companions.
The 41-year-old daughter of Princess Anne and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips, Zara Tindall arrived at the event in the same landau – an open-top four-wheeled carriage – with her mother, stepfather Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence and husband, 43-year-old British rugby player Mike Tyndall. For a public appearance (and, we recall that Royal Ascot races have a rather strict dress code), Zara chose a snow-white satin jacket with pink buttons and a matching skirt, as well as an emerald hat contrasting with the outfit, decorated with a bright pink decorative flower. Her mother, Princess Anne, 71, sat nearby in a shimmery orange dress and a smart white mesh hat. Men in landau traditionally dressed in strict black suits with tuxedos.

Lady Di’s nieces Amelia and Eliza reported on attending the competition on their social networks. They posted a series of photos showing the twin sisters posing with their boyfriends and showing off their elegant looks. Amelia shone on the racetrack in a tea dress with a non-trivial black and white print and a wide-brimmed straw hat with a black veil, and Eliza in a tight black football, a black and white tutu skirt with floral embroidery and a leather belt, and a black hat with a puffy veil.

Note that usually the royal family appears at the races in full force, but every year it is more and more difficult for Elizabeth II to move around – now she regularly uses a cane – so she missed the opening of the competition on Tuesday, however, as well as subsequent events, having previously made an official statement. By the way, 5 days before the start of Royal Ascot, Elizabeth sent more than ten horses from her stable in Windsor to the competition. However, given the fatigue of the Queen after the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the reign, as well as the fact that the competition will end tomorrow, June 18, she is unlikely to appear in public.
