Court orders release of Alexandre Pires businessman accused of laundering mining money

If the conditions are not respected, preventive detention may be ordered.

To the EstadaoPossebon’s defense lawyer, Fábio Tofic Simantob, said the arrest “is violence” and “was ordered because of a single financial transaction with a company with which Matheus has no business relationship.”

“Even more serious, the arrest took place without Matheus even being able to clarify the transaction. The defense, however, is certain that this violence will be promptly cancelled, and that Matheus will be able to freely demonstrate that he had nothing to do with this investigation “, reads the statement.

The report attempted to contact Pires, but did not receive a response at the time of publication. The singer’s lawyers sent a public note to the address Estadao denying the singer’s involvement with mining or mining. They still deny “any wrongdoing.”
