The battle of ‘influencer’ Maria Sofia Valim
It was last December, December 5, when Vitor Valim, Maria Sofia’s father and mayor of the municipality of Caucaia (in Brazil), announced that she was sensitive and asked for “prayers”.
“My oldest daughter is going through a serious health condition which has led to her getting on the liver transplant line on Tuesday morning,” she wrote in a message posted on Instagram.
The public official later informed that the teenager had undergone the surgery needed to improve her condition.
“After following the legal procedures and joining the line for a liver transplant, Sophia was able to find a donor due to the urgency of her case,” he explained on December 7.
“A compatible donor was found this morning and the operation was successful,” Vitor said without elaborating.
“However, for the next 48 hours she will continue to be monitored to see if Sophia’s body will accept the new organ,” he explained.
At the time, she also expressed positively: “I would like to sincerely thank the donor family (for) their sensitivity and their help in bringing my daughter back to life. God bless you”.
Why did the influencer Maria Sofia Valim die?
The moment Maria Sophia Valim’s “under observation” period ended, her father reported her unfortunate death.
“It is with deep pain and sadness that I inform you all of the death of my beloved daughter Sophia. Unfortunately, his body could not resist,” he revealed in a post on the digital platform on December 9.
“I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and affection for me and my family in these times of extreme suffering,” Vitor Valim added.
Despite what happened, the bureaucrat confirmed: “Many thanks to the donor family for filling us with so much hope and love.”
He then stated that the young content creator’s “wake and burial rites” would be “confined to family only.”
However, on December 11, he announced that the seventh-day Liturgy would be held on Thursday the 14th and extended an invitation to those who wished to attend.
Among the latest photos that Maria Sofia uploaded to the social network is one taken when she attended Taylor Swift’s concert in Brazil. “Very happy,” she noted in the description.
