Manoel Soares launched an appeal after the invasion of his home and the fight against a robber, on Monday 18th. In his YouTube podcast, Bombou, the presenter recommended not reacting to robberies.
In the video, he and his wife, Maria Dinorá Rodrigues, also commented on the impact of the case on the media. The couple explained that they do not intend to comment further on what happened, as they want to move on.
“There are those who are looking at us now for the first time, because our name has literally appeared on more than 150 websites, on major news portals, and we have to say something about it. Yes, we have been robbed, our family is Yes, they were taken hostage, some people saw the images, they are all fine”, he began.
“But we made the decision not to talk about this issue, so we could organize the family’s emotions,” he said. Maria added: “We also want to take the next step and move forward and get life back to normal. So we have chosen not to give interviews.”
Then, Manoel warned: “Don’t react. Obviously we don’t encourage any kind of reaction in robbery situations. It’s important that when you go through this, you take care of your mental health and you take care of the mental health of your family.” .”
