The launch of the game is part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the album “Let Go”, which this month won an extended version

Celebrations for the album’s 20th anniversary let it go continue at full speed. After releasing an extended version of the 2002 album, Avril Lavigne released a augmented reality filter on Instagram with the theme of music Sk8er Boi.

The effect works like a game, where fans can skate with an avatar of the singer while listening to the song. In the game, users have to collect coins and dodge obstacles.

To use the filter, just enter Avril’s profile and go to “effects” on the three-star button. Then choose the option “Sk8 The 2000s” and click “try”.

In addition to the game, the singer released a lyric video (video with lyrics) of break away. The song became known in Kelly Clarkson’s voice, but was written by Avril, who recorded a new version of the song for the 20th anniversary edition of let it go.

The re-recording also won a behind-the-scenes video, in which the artist explains that the song was cut from the original album before being delivered to Kelly Clarkson. It also topped the Billboard chart in 2004.
