João Augusto, 22, is the eldest son of the late communicator
Gugu Liberato’s eldest son, João Augusto Liberato, 22, will follow in his father’s footsteps and is expected to debut in a program on SBT. According to columnist Fábia Oliveira, Gugu’s firstborn is taking exams in Silvio Santos station. The channel is also reportedly preparing a new pop program to be hosted by João Augusto.
João Augusto lives in Florida, USA, as do his twin sisters Sofia and Marina, where he works in communications and business administration. Since Gugu’s death in 2019, the presenter’s family has been fighting a legal battle over his inheritance valued at R$1 billion.
Rose Miriam, mother of the presenter’s children, demands recognition of her stable union with Gugu and questions the will he left behind. João, on the other hand, was at the side of his aunt, Aparecida Liberato, in the legal battle to ensure that his father’s wishes were respected.
However, mother and son have been getting along well for some time now. In mid-September, João Liberato published photos accompanied by Rose and her sisters, Sofia and Marina, on a trip to the Caribbean. The twins, however, did not send messages to their brother during the Sunday program.
