Last week, printouts of a fake conversation between Jessica and comedian Whindersson Nunes were published on the Choquei profile, which has thousands of followers on social media.

The young woman created a profile to deny the relationship and in a text she published, taking a stand, she asked: “Stop coming to my profile and pouring so much hate. You are talking about my appearance, my social class, cursing my family”. . Think about the consequences of what they are doing.” The manager of the page that had published the posts, however, mocked the text.

The mother reported to the Documentation that his daughter, who already suffered from depression, suffered greatly from the attacks she received on the Internet. “She came here crying [e falando]: ‘Mom asks them to stop, because I can’t do it, do something’. What could I do? I just recorded a video asking them, for the love of God, to stop, because if they stopped, my daughter would probably be here today,” Inês lamented.
After Jessica’s death, the page deleted the fake conversations and stated that it was not responsible for their actions. Inês, however, cited Choquei’s responsibility for the death of her daughter.
“This Choquei who posted it first, I don’t even know what this train is, she was the one who showed me that they were insulting her on this page. She couldn’t take it anymore. The girl was already in a bad head, she wasn’t well , she was ill, we have many reports of her illness, she was unwell and this caused her this tragedy. She was going through this very difficult time with this depression, and I was fighting it day after day,” he said.
After the accident, comedian Whindersson Nunes published a video on Saturday evening, the 24th, in which he spoke about the young woman’s death. He shared her anguish after learning of her death and called for the creation of a law named after her.
“[Quero] Start a movement to see if it helps us create a law called Jéssica Vitória, to improve Brazilian legislation in this business that is happening now, which is this unofficial journalism, which is very dangerous.
