The new season of ‘The Crown’ showed details of the beginning of William and Kate Middleton’s relationship
Kate Middleton and Prince William met in the early 2000s at the University of St. Andrews. At the time, the Princess of Wales attended a charity parade where she supposedly won her husband’s heart. In fact, the latest season of ‘The Crown’ showed moments of this phase and it’s having repercussions on the Internet.
According to the series, Kate Middleton and William had other relationships, but felt attracted to each other. More precisely, in episode 9 – “Hope Street” – a friend of Diana’s son reveals to him that her suitor is single and is organizing a fashion show at the college. Therefore, the prince decided to go to the parade.
According to Variety, William wasn’t going to go to the parade at first, but after hearing about Kate’s presence, he decided to go. In fact, the future king paid about $275 to be in the front rows. On this occasion, Kate Middleton walked the runway wearing a sheer dress, with black lingerie underneath, which was called “The Art of Seduction”.
In 2002, Charlotte Todd, the creator of the work, spent about 50 dollars to create it. According to W Magazine, it sold for a much higher price. This is because she auctioned the dress on the eve of the royal wedding for 125,000 dollars, approximately R$600,000, at Kerry Auctions.
