In a note the presenter complains ‘the way in which the parent uses psychological abuse and emotional blackmail to obtain his own advantages’
Alessandro Correa sued the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR). Ana Hickmann Sunday night, 7. In a document sent to the institution, to which the Estadao had access, the entrepreneur claimed that the presenter committed parental alienation by not handing over her son Alezinho on the date established by the Court. In the decision, the judge established that the child will have to spend the school holidays, between January 3 and 10, with his father.
Last week, Alexandre called for Ana Hickmann’s arrest for parental alienation. In a statement sent last Friday, 5, the presenter said that there was an agreement between the lawyers, according to which both parties agreed to change the dates when father and son would spend together. According to her, Alezinho would stay with the entrepreneur from January 9th to 17th. She also accused her ex of coercion.
The note sent to Estadao this Monday, 8, claims that Alexandre Correa victimizes himself and distances himself from his responsibility as a father by psychologically and emotionally abusing Ana Hickmann. According to the presenter’s lawyers, the attitude demonstrates bad faith (read the full statement below).
“We regret the way in which the parent uses psychological abuse and emotional blackmail to gain his own advantages, neglecting the well-being of his child, who has shown sadness and distress in various situations. This is an incessant attempt to intimidate and to embarrass Ana Hickmann, to cause procedural disruption and trivialize physical and emotional violence,” he adds.
In a BO obtained from Estadao in November, Ana accused her ex-husband of domestic violence. Alexandre confessed to the attacks, but denied headbutting the presenter UOL. He currently claims not to have committed any type of violence.
Since then the fight for custody of the child has intensified. Last Friday, the 5th, the Public Prosecutor refused a request for the search and seizure of the son of Ana Hickmann and Alexandre Correa, made by his father, amid a legal dispute between the two. The deputy suggested a fine of R $ 5,000 per day if Ana Hickmann does not hand over her child to her father according to the court’s decision.
Request for arrest
Alexandre Correa requested the arrest of Ana Hickmann for parental alienation on Wednesday 3. According to him, Ana did not hand over her son to spend the school holidays with his father between January 3 and 10, the date set by the Court. In a statement sent to Estadaothe artist stated that the court’s decision specified the period “if nothing had been previously scheduled”.
“The court’s decision established that Alexandre Hickmann Correa’s vacation period with his father would have been between January 3 and 10, if nothing had been previously scheduled,” the presenter’s team explained in a statement (see press release complete below).
Ana Hickmann and the entrepreneur would have changed the period in which Alezinho would stay with his father due to the presenter’s holidays. With the new agreement between the parents, the child will stay with Alexandre from January 9th to 17th.
“Taking into account that Ana Hickmann’s holidays had previously been scheduled between January 3 and 7, it was therefore agreed between Ana Hickmann and Alexandre Correa’s lawyers, Dr. Guilherme Valdetaro and Dr. Diva Carla Bueno Nogueira respectively, an appointment telephone on 12/22, moving the period from 9 to 17 January”, completes the note.
In the court decision document, to which the Estadao had had access, the judge specified that the boy would have remained with his father between January 3 and 10, if there had been no commitments or agreements made previously.
“In the absence of evidence of previously undertaken free time commitments, during the January 2024 school holidays, the child will remain with the father between the 3rd and 10th, with collection at 9am and return at 6pm, under the responsibility of the paternal grandparents for the collection and return of the child to the maternal home”, reads the decision.
The court document also established that family conflicts did not involve Alezinho. Ana Hickmann and Alexandre are therefore entitled to shared custody. Visits between father and son must be mediated by the paternal grandparents.
The decision also states that, if Alexandre travels with his son to another Brazilian municipality or state, he will have to notify Ana Hickmann at least 48 hours in advance. “Inform the destination and location of the accommodation and the departure and return dates, under penalty of search and seizure and suspension of visits”, adds the judge.
Remember the case
OR Estadao had access to the police report recorded by Ana Hickmann, in which she accuses the businessman of physical assault. According to her report, she was in the kitchen of her home with Alexandre, her son and two employees. She allegedly said something to her son that her husband wouldn’t like and was reprimanded, “they both raised their voices.” The child allegedly asked them to stop fighting and ran away scared.
“The perpetrator began to push the victim against the wall, also threatening to attack her with a headbutt, at which time she managed to push him away and, in an attempt to grab his cell phone, which was on a table outside the area, the perpetrator suddenly closed the sliding kitchen door, putting pressure on the victim’s left arm,” reads the following excerpt from the police document.
Ana then managed to lock him out of the house and called the Military Police. Correa would exit the scene shortly after. Hickmann sought medical attention at São Camilo Hospital, where a bruise was found on his left elbow. According to the police report, his arm was immobilized with a sling.
“The victim was aware of the protection measures conferred by the Maria da Penha Law, however, at this time, he chose not to request them,” the document ends.
What does Alexander say?
Alexandre confessed to the attacks, but denied headbutting the presenter UOL. Ana spoke out about the case again, saying the two were in a toxic relationship during an interview Spectacular Sundayfrom Record TV, last Sunday, 26.
After the fallout from the interview, the businessman said he had committed “a real injustice” by speaking out about the case, according to the magazine Who.
Note from Ana Hickmann sent last Friday, 5
“Documents dated 03/01/2024 show that Gustavo Henrique Correa, paternal grandfather of Alexandre Hickmann Correa, picks up his grandson at 6pm to hold the weekly meeting with Alexandre Correa, agreed between the lawyers of both parties.
The time of collection of the child to start the holiday with the father, transferred to 01/09/2024 and approved by Dr. Diva Carla Bueno Nogueira, Correa’s lawyer, is 9 am, which shows that there was no no attempt to make a new change. This demonstrates, once again, Alexandre Correa’s bad faith and intention to victimize himself and deflect his responsibilities as a father, partner and citizen.
We regret the way the parent uses psychological abuse and emotional blackmail to gain his own advantages, neglecting the well-being of his child, who has shown sadness and distress in various situations. This is a relentless attempt to intimidate and embarrass Ana Hickmann, to cause procedural disruption, and to trivialize the physical and emotional violence she has been causing since 11/11/2023.
The determination of holidays will begin this Tuesday (9), as agreed between both parties, and will be strictly respected, as will the visits listed below:
1st visit: 11/12
2nd visit: 12/18
3rd visit: 12/26
4th visit: 03/01.”
