Actor Rodrigo Simas reveals fear of losing roles after coming out as bisexual
The actor Rodrigo Simas he went on an outburst during his participation in GNT’s “Na Piscina Com Fê Paes Leme”. The celebrity commented on the challenges she faced when she admitted her sexual orientation.
Bisexual, the boyfriend of actress Agatha Moreira has confessed that he is afraid of seeing his career damaged. “It took me a while to realize that I was bisexual because I didn’t know that it was okay to be, that it wasn’t about being undecided, you know? […] Am I homosexual? Oh no, I’m right. Oh, I can’t, because of my profession I won’t get any more roles. You know, I’m talking about ten, twelve years ago”reported.
And he continued: “It was a very simple process, I was just being. […] We live in a very hypocritical society, where people cannot be who they are. And then the right thing, you know, the religious and social place that places heteronormativity, the family… And imprisons a lot of people.”
Finally, Rodrigo Simas underlined the importance of speaking publicly about the issue. “Everyone has their moment… Their process, and if you want too, but it has this importance when you are a public person and have all this visibility”he concluded.
