Dad Yankee faces difficult times in his family: he reveals that his father has cancer

With an exciting announcement, Daddy Yankee shared with the world that His father has been diagnosed with cancer.

The urbane celebrity shared the news via a video for the CAP Foundation of Puerto Rico, “a non-profit organization founded in 1989 that works for the well-being of children with cancer,” the foundation says on its website.

What did Daddy Yankee say about his father’s cancer?

Daddy Yankee announced that his father, the salsa percussionist Ramon Ayalahad this illness last weekend and revealed that this difficult situation motivated him to agree to be the sponsor of the CAP Foundation’s Uniendo Cabezas 2024 event.

“I am part (of the event) to honor my father, who we pass this cancer test too with my dad,” said the artist who has already retired from the stage.

“Also It was my family’s turn to live and experience what it’s like to be part of the situation,” he revealed.

Daddy Yankee did not elaborate on the type of cancer his father is dealing with or what stage it is in.

What he did do was applaud the work of the “caregivers” of patients with this disease: I wear their boots too who care for a family member.

I thank my Heavenly Father and to my people at CAP for making me a part of this new adventure for me,” he said of the sponsorship he will be doing to benefit the foundation.

“I am very excited to serve my community,” he admitted.

Daddy Yankee did not immediately comment further on his father’s health.

Neither does the singer’s brother, Nomar Ayala Rodríguez, who is an evangelical pastor and whose faith “El Big Boss” also professes.
