Bad news for Tyler Rake 3: This is why we won’t see a blockbuster sequel with Chris Hemsworth

The saga of Tyler Rake, played by actor Chris Hemsworth, is behind schedule. After the release of the first film in 2020 and the second opus in 2023, fans hoped that this rhythm established by the platform would be respected when the third part was released. Except that the schedule has been somewhat shaken, and the prospect of seeing the hero’s new adventures in 2026 is getting more and more distant. But what happened?

The shoot was constantly postponed

A recent interview of our colleagues ColliderDirector Sam Hargrave gave us some details about the current status of the film and the shooting dates for this third opus: “The shooting is planned for 2026. We will start the cameras in 2026, we will see. But the plan is this: shooting in 2026 and I think the release will be in 2027. But of course I will not officially confirm or deny these dates!”

The delay, which can only be explained by the workload of the main actor of the project, Chris Hemsworth, who is currently involved in another saga that needs some time, we are obviously talking about the Avengers films: A lot depends on the Avengers schedule, which varies a lot.

Problems with Marvel Studios

The crux of the problem is, as Sam Hargrave points out, Marvel’s film schedule is known in Hollywood to be “highly variable.” for what Well, because many scenes are modified in post-production and therefore have to be shot a second time, making the actors unavailable for long periods of time.

Also note that Chris Hemsworth will be contractually obligated to take part in the promotional tour for Avengers: Endgame, which is currently scheduled for a December 16th release date. In other words, there’s a chance that Tyler Rake 3 could be delayed altogether… until 2027. So fans will have to wait!
