“This slander will be exposed!”, says Cid Moreira. The journalist refutes the accusation of sexual abuse made by his adopted son

In a note sent to Quem, Cid Moreira’s team specifies that it is not the first time that the former presenter of the ‘Jornal Nacional’ is involved “in a defamatory statement” by his adopted son, Roger Moreira. The professionals also pointed out that Roger “has already sued him on five other occasions without success.”

Cid Moreira broke his silence afterwards his adopted son accuses him of rape. According to the columnLeo DiasRoger reports that all the abuse began at age 14, from October 1990 to November 2000. “Cid practiced against the young libidinous act with the aim of satisfying one’s lust, repeatedly, with a frequency of at least four times a week, over a period of 10 years, therefore approximately 1,920 occasions, in the same conditions of time, place, method of execution”, said the boy’s representative.

In a note sent to Who this Tuesday (06), Cid Moreira’s team claims that it is “a defamatory statement”. Furthermore, he pointed out that Roger “has already sued him five other times without success.”

“It is not the first time that Roger accuses Cid in an absurd and defamatory way. On that occasion, he asked for custody of his adoptive father with the pretense of wanting to take care of Cid Moreira. Months later, another statement emerged: Cid was senile and could no longer answer for his actions. All these statements were lies and clearly aimed at financial interests,” an excerpt from the note reads.
