After a serious road accident in the early hours of Sunday 11th, in Salvador, the actor, director and producer Orlando Caldeirahe was removed from the induced coma he was in.

The update on the artist’s health came via Bruno Guimarães, a close friend, who shared the news on his social networks on Wednesday 14th. Caldeira is hospitalized at the State General Hospital (HGE).

“[Orlando Caldeira] he was extubated and awoke from the coma. He’s still a little sleepy, but he already has an excellent level of consciousness for this moment,” shared the friend, who also appealed for more prayers and positive energy for the actor. “We have reached an important stage, but he still has a road to travel to follow until complete recovery. Please, let’s continue in this chain of love,” he wrote.

Known for his role in the soap opera Go with faithfrom Rede Globo, where he created the character of Anthony, a gossip who brings moments of lightness and humor to the plot, Orlando Caldeira suffered a road accident in the early hours of this Sunday the 11th. This was announced by the Bahia Health Department (Sesab).

According to the agency, the actor was admitted to the State General Hospital (HGE) on Sunday. Sesab also informed that the artist is receiving “all necessary treatment” and that medical reports will be released exclusively to family members.

Before the accident, Orlando Caldeira he had expressed his enthusiasm for participating in the Salvador carnival, planning to follow Margareth Menezes on the Barra-Ondina circuit, a traditional celebration which he documented on his social media.
