Columnist for the newspaper “Folha de S. Paulo” has been treating bowel cancer since 2021
Columnist and screenwriter Tony Goes died in the early hours of this Thursday, the 15th, aged 63. The death was confirmed by his brother, the audiovisual producer Zico Gomes, to the newspaper Folha de S. Paulowhere Goes worked.
According to the newspaper, Goes had been treating bowel cancer since 2021, but last week discovered that the tumor had spread to other organs. The columnist suffered liver failure due to complications from the disease.
Goes was born in Rio de Janeiro, but has lived in Sao Paulo since childhood. He trained in advertising and specialized in the television sector.
