JLo accuses her of being ‘abused’ in her past relationships: ‘Everything was such a blur’

Jennifer Lopez has opened up about some of the negative aspects that happened in her past relationships before finally marrying Ben Affleck.

The singer recalled, in the recently released documentary “The Greatest Love Story Never Told”, her failed love story, which includes romances with Alex Rodríguez, Marc Anthony and Ojani Noa, among others.

Jennifer López admits ex-partners did ‘unpleasant things’ to her

The documentary shows Jennifer Lopez explaining the creation of the score for the film “This Is Me… Now,” which was released on Feb. 16, according to People.

In one of the scenes in the video corresponding to the song ‘Rebound’, the actress is also attacked by her fictitious partner while they are arguing.

“Being pushed around and bossed around like that is not fun,” she said, referring to what happened during the re-enactment of the tense moment.

“I mean, I’ve never been in a relationship where I’ve been hit, thank God,” she said, clarifying that she didn’t experience domestic violence from any of her boyfriends.

However, she revealed: “But I’ve definitely been abused and (suffered) some other nasty… gross… disrespect.”

The so-called “Bronx Diva”, 54, did not specify by whom or when the abuse in question took place: “I’m glad that’s behind us,” she confessed.

Throughout her involvement, she confirms that the film is an amalgamation of her past experiences in romance and dating, and that it depicts her journey towards self-esteem.

“There were people in my life who said ‘I love you’ to me and then didn’t do things that were consistent with the word love,” she said.

“You have to hit rock bottom, where you find yourself in situations that are so uncomfortable and painful that you finally say, ‘I don’t want this anymore,'” he added.

The “Selena” star has had a hard time distancing herself from partners who cause her discomfort, and she explained why.

“A therapist asked me, ‘What if I were your daughter?’ What would you do?’. And it was so clear. I was telling him, ‘Get out of here and don’t look back,'” he said.

“But for me it was so cloudy and so complicated with so much of my past and my own pain and suffering and dysfunction that I couldn’t see clearly. “It was like looking through a fog,” he admitted.

Jennifer Lopez felt ‘abused’

It’s not the first time the multifaceted star has opened up about the hurtful behavior she’s endured in her romances, though she’s kept the details to herself.

In her book True Love, which was released in November 2014, Jennifer Lopez wrote, as reported by Page Six: “I’ve never had a black eye or a chapped lip…”

“But I’ve been in relationships where I’ve felt abused in one way or another: mentally, emotionally and verbally. “I know how it feels when your soul is diminished by the way your loved one treats you,” she admitted.
