Elena Larrea, a model and animal activist, died on Tuesday, March 19 at the age of 31, according to the organization Movimiento Animalista de Puebla.
Via Instagram they expressed: “Dear Elena from @cuacolandia, hearing this unfortunate news this morning filled us with great sadness. Today we not only lost a friend, but the animals also lost a brave woman, a great example of struggle for the new generations.”
The governor of the state of Puebla, Sergio Salomón, sent his condolences to the family and friends of the activist: “I am deeply saddened by the death of Elena Larrea, a tireless fighter in defense of animal welfare. On behalf of the Government of Puebla, we extend our embrace of solidarity to your loved ones.”
Who was Elena Larea?
