According to Azul Oliva, Elena Larrea was still in the process of recovering from a surgery she underwent last January. Although he appeared stable, between March 8 and 9, he began to show the first symptoms of leg pain.

During these weeks, Elena lived under great stress. She was supposedly going through difficulties with her boyfriend and had faced the complicated rescue of one of her animals. For this reason, he would have ignored the discomfort in his leg, Azul Oliva commented in the video posted on TikTok.

By this time, Elena reportedly attributed the discomfort to a ligament problem and would seek help from physical therapy. There he would have received his first diagnosis: a blocked artery.
