World Autism Awareness Day is celebrated on Tuesday 2 April
This Tuesday (2), we celebrate World Autism Awareness Day. The date was created by the United Nations in 2007 as a way to spread more information about the disorder and reduce discrimination and prejudice.
With that in mind, Celebrities and Celebrities have put together a list of five celebrities who fall on the autism spectrum that you probably didn’t know about. Let’s go!
Letizia Sabatella
The global actress revealed last year during the “Papagaio Falante” podcast that she has been diagnosed with a mild degree of ASD (autism spectrum disorder). She became famous throughout Brazil for her roles in “Caminho das Indias”, “Nos Tempos do Imperador” and “O Clone”.
Anthony Hopkins

Another famous person who was late diagnosed with autism was Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins. In fact, the search for a diagnosis, at the age of 70, was born thanks to the curiosity of his wife, who began to do more in-depth research on ASD.
Dan Aykroyd

Known for his roles in “Ghostbusters” and “The Brothers,” Dan Aykroyd was diagnosed with ASD early in his adult life. However, the actor shared his condition publicly only recently.
Actor, comedian, Dan Aykroyd famous for his roles in films such as “Ghostbusters”, “The Hardfaced Brothers”. He said he has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. He is 70 and said he received the diagnosis early in his adult life but has only now shared it publicly.
Elon Musk

Controversial businessman Elon Musk suffers from level 1 autism: in an interview he referred to it as Asperger’s syndrome, a term that has fallen into disuse. Currently Elon Musk is one of the richest men in the world, being the founder of SpaceX, CEO of Tesla, vice president of OpenAI (the company that owns ChatGPT), founder and CEO of Neuralink, president of SolarCity and, of course, current owner of (formerly Twitter).
Greta Thunberg

Finally, concluding our list of celebrities diagnosed with autism, we have Greta Thunberg, famous Swedish activist. The young woman revealed publicly that she was diagnosed at age 12, as were other disorders, such as ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder and selective mutism.
