The rapper owns Donda Academy, an unlicensed school with students from kindergarten through high school
Kanye west became the subject of another controversy. The artist, also known as Youhe is accused of threatening to “cage” the students Donda Academy. The Christian school was founded by the rapper and, although he did not have a license, educated children from kindergarten to high school.
The accusation came through a lawsuit filed by a former employee of Kanye West, Trevor Philips. She started working for her ex-husband. Kim Kardashian in November 2022 as part of the team Yeezy. However, with Adidas severing ties with Kanye West (after anti-Semitic speeches), Philips begins working for Donda Academy.
The former employee, in fact, also accuses the rapper of other things such as discrimination, retaliation, unfair dismissal, verbal abuse and threats of physical violence.
According to Philips, it was also clear that the artist treated black employees “significantly worse” than white employees. Additionally, Kanye West has reportedly made several fatphobic statements, including threatening to fire employees because “they’re fat.”
According to the report released by the American Rolling Stone, the artist even compared himself to Hitler, also praising the Nazi dictator. Furthermore, he allegedly threatened to shave the heads of the students of the Donda Academy and put them in cages.
Finally, it is worth underlining that, to date, neither Kanye West nor representatives of the Donda Academy have commented on the accusations.
