However, the actors did not officially confirm the romance, but in January of this year, thanks to sources from People magazine, it became known that they had been secretly dating for more than a year. The protracted COVID-19 pandemic helped them hide their romantic relationship: due to the lockdown, the actors simply could not catch the eye of the paparazzi.
They are both very private people, it was easy for them to keep their romance a secret during the pandemic, the insider confirmed.
A couple of months later, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hader admitted that he still hides his personal life out of respect for his young daughters.
