This Thursday the 11th Wilma defended himself once again against the accusations made by Gabriel. He accused the socialite of not having a romantic relationship with Gal Costamismanagement of the singer’s assets and raised suspicions about the cause of the artist’s death.
“I loved Gal and I know she loved me too. Everyone knew we were wives. Gabriel and his lawyer say we had a brief affair and that Gal let me live at his house out of charity. I lived there because we were married. I have family in São Paulo, I worked for Gal and I got paid for it. Every year, Gal and I exchanged rings. A widow also reflected on Gabriel’s motivations for challenging the estate of Gal. According to her, the 18-year-old boy was “brainwashed” by her girlfriend.
“He [saiu de casa]he said he would spend a week in a hotel with Daniela [namorada], who needed to help her. She said that she was in panic, that her husband beat her. The next day she called me to tell me where she was. I asked him if she was eating. She said she ate stroganoff. He hates stroganoff! I started calling Daniela to find out when she would finish. They blocked me. I call the school and Gabriel has forbidden them from sharing information. But I received an email informing me that she had missed several tests. My son is in danger. He lives in a hotel and is completely dominated by a woman. This is, to say the least, bizarre.”
Wilma he is also accused of dysfunctionally managing the finances of Gal. His own girlfriend Gabriel, in the process, claims that the socialite lives on loans and advances from the record company. She defends herself by saying that the singer left behind more debts than assets and that she wasn’t good at choosing investments.
“Believe it or not: I didn’t manage his estate, I just sold the shows. She left behind a house in Jardim Europa and two cars, a BMW and a Toyota Corolla. When I met Gal, he had a farm in Petrópolis, four commercial premises in Leblon, a penthouse in São Conrado and his mother’s apartment in Rio […] Gal didn’t know what to do, he made terrible investments. The Morro da Paciência house, in Salvador, was a regrettable acquisition. He paid an absurd price for a house without foundations. The renovation lasted two years. He asked for a loan from the bank to buy these houses, but bank loans are not payable, so he sold the houses to pay the bank. […] We are still collecting the debts, but it is about R$ 1 million.”
Through lawyers, Gabriel asked in March 2024 to do so exhumation of Gal Costa’s body. According to him, he did not know that his mother was suffering from health problems. Wilma, in her defense, stated that the two spared the boy. The court, in response, denied the exhumation, but said an investigation was underway.
