The choreographer lost his firstborn 13 years ago. It was early in the morning when Carlos Eduardo Mendes de Jesus, known as Dudu, was in a bar in the Realengo neighborhood, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Two men who were passing by on a motorbike fired the fatal shots at the 32-year-old musician.
Police investigations later concluded that the crime was motivated by jealousy. This is because Dudu was in a relationship with Bruna Florencio at the time of what happened. Carlinhos de Jesus’ ex-daughter-in-law ended up having an affair with one of the defendants while the couple took a break from their relationship.
