The historic title highlights the excellent work done by Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales
Last Tuesday (23), King Charles III paid tribute to Kate Middleton. This is because he called his daughter-in-law with a historical title, linked to her excellent work.
At the center of St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, King Charles III named Kate Middleton a Royal Companion of the Order of the Companions of Honour. The Princess of Wales, in fact, is the first member of the royal family to have this appointment. Created by King George V in 1997, the title is linked to great achievements in the arts, science, medicine and public service.
Furthermore, Charles also named his son Prince William. This is because he granted him the title of Grand Master of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath. Title which, until then, belonged to the King himself, before being crowned. The Crown however grants this appointment to members for exemplary military or civilian service
Finally, Kate Middleton’s father-in-law also called his beloved Queen Camilla. She will now be First Lady Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. This title honors a broader sector of society, both civilian and military. Previously, the title was held by Prince Philip, Charles’ father.
