She was the daughter of actress Samara Felippo and former basketball player Leandrinho victim of racism in an elite school in the West Zone of São Paulo, last Monday (22). According to information from G1, two middle school students wrote racist insults on one of the pages of the young girl’s notebook.

“All the pages of an elaborate, elaborate, worthy research paper she wrote were violently torn and inside the notebook was the sentence [racista]. The notebook is already in my hands and a new notebook has already been given to my daughter,” Samara says in a letter written to a group of parents at the school and obtained by G1.

Vera Cruz School has temporarily suspended students. “The suspension will end when we understand that we have concluded our reflection on sanctions and reparations, which we continue to do – a fact also communicated to all families directly involved. We underline that other punitive measures may be adopted, if we deem it necessary after our intense educational debate, also in consideration of the unequivocal fight against racism”, reads the statement, also published by G1.
