The singer comes from musical lineage. He was the son of producer Ubirajara de Souza, brother of Elza Soares and legend of samba and pagode music production.
Despite being Elza’s nephew, Anderson only revealed his relationship with the singer after becoming famous with Molejo. In 2020 he spoke about the topic in an interview with Balanço Geral, on Record TV.
“My aunt always asked my father: leave him, Bira. He likes music, leave him. And she always told me: you have to be responsible, try a lot, train a lot, listen a lot. I listened to all the advice possible,” she said at the time .
The singer also explained at the time that he had always been proud to be part of Elza’s family, but wanted to achieve success on his own merits. “I only went to say that I was his nephew, when I knew Molejo. I always really liked being there in my struggle, slowly, with a lot of simplicity, humility. I never liked to say that I was his nephew,” he said.
