During the interview Arnaldo revealed some of the background to his dismissal from Record. Where he even claimed to have been “burned in the market” by the broadcaster. Shortly thereafter, he recounted the details of an agreement he had made regarding his health plan.

After all, the journalist suffers Machado-Joseph syndrome. A rare and incurable disease that attacks the nervous system, compromising coordination and, above all, balance. Something that further increases the importance of having a good health plan to carry out constant medical monitoring.

However, according to Arnaldo Duran, it was not so easy to establish an agreement with his former employer. “Record renegotiated and I will pay by August. After August I made a commitment that I will pay. But if I don’t have the money to pay, I just won’t pay,” he explained.

Furthermore, according to Folha de S. Paulo, Duran also went to court against Record and requested compensation of around R$3 million for moral damages.

“I don’t know if Record is angry. I want to be paid again, but I want to go back to work. I don’t want to be paid without doing anything”, explained the journalist. He concludes his thought by stating, with good humor, that he believes he is doing his job well. Immediately the chat and speakers reacted positively and also agreed with the statement.
