The hotel surveillance footage, obtained by CNN and released this Friday (17), dates back to March 5, 2016 and was compiled from various camera angles. The incident fits an allegation raised in the singer’s lawsuit sex trafficking, rape and physical abuse against the hip hop mogul in November. The two settled the civil case the day after it was filed.
In the video, Cassie Ventura is seen wearing a black sweater, hoodie and carrying a backpack, calling an elevator at the now-defunct InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. From a different camera angle, Diddy is seen in a bath towel running down the hotel hallway. He reaches her ex-girlfriend before the elevator arrives, hits her and pulls her by the hair, then throws her to the floor.
