Martín Rodríguez, member of the successful group La Adictiva, is mourning the death of his daughter, Alinha, at the age of 7.
The Sinaloan band announced the news through a post on their official Instagram account on May 29.
“Today our hearts ache. With the utmost respect and deep pain, we share in the grief that overwhelms our beloved partner and brother Martin for the irreparable loss of his daughter,” they said.
“We are deeply sorry for your loss and send all our love and support to you and the entire family during this difficult time. May Alinha Rodríguez Osuna rest in peace,” they added.

La Adictiva accompanied said “publication” with a video recorded during one of its recent presentations on Mexican soil.
On stage, three of its members informed the audience about what happened and expressed some words of love.
“He is our brother and the fact that his daughter died hurts us a lot because we knew her and we knew she was a princess,” they said.
“(We knew) what she wanted to live and what she fought every day to be with us but also with her parents,” they added.
The singer stated, without elucidating the cause of the girl’s death: “Everything was done in our power, but unfortunately nothing more could be done and Diosito sent to look for her.”
They dedicated their song “The love of my life” to Martín and Alinha: “Hasta el cielo con mucho amor”, they said halfway through their performance.

According to TVyNovelas, Martín Rodríguez, who works as a trombonist for La Adictiva, gave details of the final farewell to his son.
“Family, informed that a trio of masses will be offered to our princess,” he wrote on his social networks. Thanksgiving will be held this Friday May 31st, Saturday June 1st and Sunday June 2nd in a parish in Mazatlán, Sinaloa.
“Wear colorful clothes, we want to honor our Alinha the way she liked,” he asked those attending to join them.
Rodríguez usually does not share photos of his loved ones on his account on the digital platform. However, in November 2016, he uploaded a photo of his daughter’s birth.
