What is hidden in the new portrait of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene for their wedding anniversary

The other day, the princely couple of Monaco celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary – on July 1, 2011, a civil ceremony took place in a narrow circle, and on July 2, a magnificent celebration died down, broadcast to the whole world. And on Saturday, the official portrait of the couple appeared in the official account of the 44-year-old princess.

The picture shows the couple in full growth in the garden of the prince’s palace. They hold hands and only slightly smile. For the shoot, His Lordship wore a navy blue suit and a silver tie (I don’t know, but we call the 11th anniversary “steel” and the color of the tie fits perfectly), while Her Ladyship wore an elegant turquoise Louis Vuitton dress. Its color reminded many of Charlene’s dress, which she wore to the opening of the Monte Carlo TV festival on June 18 this year.

Of course, this shot again provoked a wave of discussions regarding the sincerity of their feelings. Internet users called the new portrait “formal”, someone noted that, despite the hands, they practically do not touch each other and keep their distance. They also did not hide from them the fact that the spouses are looking in different directions: while the prince is posing for the camera, the princess is looking somewhere to the side and her shoulders are taken away from her husband.

Recall that the wedding of Albert and Charlene has rightfully become one of the most spectacular ceremonies of the century – in terms of scope it is compared with the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The reason for comparing the two “European princesses” was also the fact that they faced a similar difficult task – to fill the void in the hearts of people after the mothers of their spouses, Diana Spencer and Grace Kelly, tragically died in car accidents. The celebrations lasted almost four days. It was the first wedding of the House of Grimaldi in 55 years since the mother of Albert II married Prince Rainier III.

The civil marriage ceremony between Albert and Charlene took place in the throne room of the Prince’s Palace in Monaco on July 1 in the presence of 80 high-ranking guests. Here, in 1956, the parents of Albert II, Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly, got married. The next day, the newlyweds got married in the inner front courtyard of the Prince’s Palace, where an altar from the palace church of St. John the Baptist was installed specially for this occasion.

Even before the ceremony, Prince Albert announced his desire to hold a wedding on a Hollywood scale, he planned to invite at least 1000 guests, arrange three days off for the residents of Monaco, and also attract as many people as possible so that they could watch the ceremony live and on their television screens.
