Featuring impactful accounts of the behind-the-scenes life of Nelma Kodama, one of the key figures in Lava-Jato, the largest corruption investigation in Brazilian history, the film takes an unprecedented dive into the lives of money changers.
Love. Sex. Betrayal. And millions in illegal money. “Doleira: The Story of Nelma Kodama” shows a life full of challenges, twists and turns and lots of luxury. Furthermore, the documentary will also explore the peculiar personality of the money changer. After all, this would have helped her to be able to circulate and operate in spaces that had until then been predominantly male. With great persuasion, it was Nelma who made millions in cash available for bribes in Brasilia. She gained national visibility when she was arrested while trying to board a ship with 200,000 euros hidden in her clothes.
Finally, it is worth underlining that”Doleira: The Story of Nelma Kodama” is directed by João Wainer and produced by TX Filmes. The documentary also has a screenplay by Camila Kamimura and a production by Camila Villas Boas and Roberto T. Oliveira. Carol Amorim and Yara Camargo are executive producers.
