Former BBB Matteus sheds light on the use of racial quotas for university admissions

After the controversy over his admission to the federal university through the racial quota system, Matteoformer participant of BBB 24shared a note of clarification on social media.

The gaucho said someone else registered and chose the share incorrectly, without his knowledge. The former BBB member stressed that he would never intend to benefit unduly from the quota system and regretted any misunderstandings caused.

He considers himself an active advocate for racial and social equality and was grateful for the opportunity to clarify the matter, apologizing for any inconvenience.

However, the case had repercussions, with an activist reporting Matteus to the Public Prosecutor for committing ideological falsehoods. The controversy worsened when audio was leaked showing his mother, Luciana Amaralworried about the situation.
