Chiquis caused a surprise by confirming, on July 7, those days before she married Emilio Sánchez, after a year-long engagement.
According to Jomari Goyso, of Despierta América, the wedding took place in “a casino” in Las Vegas and “there were only about 30 people invited.”
It is unknown who exactly were in attendance, however, the singer’s uncle, Pedro Rivera Jr., confirmed that it was none of his family.

After Chiquis revealed that she is already a married woman, Pedro Rivera Jr. talked about his choice not to claim him, or his grandparents, his and Jenni Rivera’s parents, in their wedding.
“The situation is that… when human beings make a decision, we have the free will to do whatever we want,” he said in an interview with YouTube channel “Noticias Baby News” on July 9.
“If they decided to keep it private, between themselves, that’s their decision and I wish them the best. “If they didn’t invite anyone, it’s their decision,” he added.
The elder brother of the late ‘Diva de la Banda’ pointed out that, in his opinion, no person should feel affected by the fact that he was not at the ceremony.
“They should feel free to be able to make the decision they want without anyone getting hurt, without harming anyone, that’s their decision,” he stressed.
The music producer shared that although moments before he had spoken to his mother, Rosa Saavedra, they didn’t discuss Chiquis’ marriage, so he doesn’t know what she thinks.
He explained that he learned about the wedding thanks to a video that appeared on social networks and stressed that he only has good omens for the couple.
“May they have a good life … I wish them the best and may God bless their marriage and may it be this situation for a long time,” he said.
Pedro Rivera Jr. has he already congratulated Chiquis on her marriage?
Pedro Rivera Jr. revealed that, until now, he had not contacted Chiquis directly to congratulate her on her marriage to Emilio Sánchez.
“No, because when I was looking there (news of their union), I managed to look and I started studying to come and preach the word of God in the church, but I will do it a little later,” he said.
However, he recalled that on June 27, when Jenni Rivera’s star was unveiled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he spoke with both her and Emilio Sánchez.
“I greeted her, hugged her, congratulated her on the great achievement of her mother, our sister Jenny, it was a beautiful thing,” he said.
“I congratulated him saying ‘it’s good that you are making the decision to get married’ but I didn’t know what he would do so quickly,” she said.
It should be remembered that Chiquis has been estranged from the Riveras due to conflicts over the legacy left by her mother, as well as the rights to use her image and music.
