DJ Pedro Sampaio took to social media this Friday, the 12th, to report a scare he had during a plane trip to Ceará, in the city of Reriutaba, where he was supposed to perform. Due to weather conditions, the pilot attempted to land twice at the São Benedito airport, but crashed.

“The pilot tried to land twice, but crashed due to weather conditions. We diverted the route and landed in Teresina, Piauí. We are refueling and trying to find a safe solution to get to the show,” the DJ explained in a story shared on Instagram. He later shared the pilot’s report on the situation.
“We had planned to make two approaches within our safety limits. For the safety of aviation and all of us, we could not do it more often, because we had the remaining fuel to safely alternate and we had no visibility of the runway. So, we came to Teresina to refuel and reassess the weather conditions in São Benedito,” the pilot said.
Visibility at the airport was very poor due to the thick fog. Therefore, the DJ team decided to change route and land in the city of Sobral (CE). However, the event organization of Reriutaba chose to cancel the presentation. “I was already in the van and it would take an hour from the Sobral airport to the show venue. Even with all the fatigue we would arrive at almost 6 in the morning,” he added.
Pedro also stressed that he is available to sing this Friday and is waiting for a response from the event organizers.
