To the delight of fans, Valesca, considered one of the pioneers of the segment, has started a new phase in her career and this Thursday, 7th, the artists, together with producer WC No Beat, forerunner of Brazilian trap funk, have released the single ” Do it well”.
The song mixes roots-style beats, with lyrics that refer to prohibition, already immortalized by the first works of Valesca and Tati. This Friday, 8th, the single won its video clip which presented references to “Beijinho No Ombro” and the traditional dance walls of Rio to the public.
Packed with lyrics symbolizing women’s empowerment, sexual freedom and women’s independence, the singers have built careers and pioneered the music market without fear of explicitly talking about sexual desires.
Songs like “Agora Eu Tô Soleita”, “Boladona” and “Tá Pra Nascer Homem Que Vai Mandar em Mim”, for example, marked several generations and, even today, are remembered by the public.
