When journalist Sônia Bridi asked him if the family had gathered for the occasion, he replied: “Yes. Without ostentation, without fuss, all together, taking care of each other, hugging each other and remembering for each one what he was.”
“He was like him [Silvio Santos] I wanted. Simple, with his daughters, his wife, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren. His dearest friends, his colleagues. José, who works in his house. Raimunda, a waitress. But it was really special, because it was how he wanted it: simple, delicate, intimate.
