In the last week, Preta Gil revealed to have resumed cancer treatment after undergoing tests. “I count on everyone’s good energy, prayers and vibrations to stay confident,” he said, without detailing his health status.

But this Sunday (25) the singer took to her social networks to explain to her fans what is happening. “I had bowel cancerI treated myself, I have recovered from it and am in remission.which is a 5 year period in which cancer can return. And that’s what happened to me. My cancer has come back in 4 different places“, he warned.

Preta went on to explain that she was taken by surprise by the news. “I came to the hospital to do my routine tests when we were surprised by this diagnosis. It is more common than we imagine, but it is always a big scare,” she lamented.

Gilberto Gil’s daughter also revealed the locations where the new tumors were found. “I have two lymph nodes, a metastasis to the peritoneum and a lesion to the ureter”he said. It is worth remembering that metastases occur when cancer cells break away from the primary tumor and enter the bloodstream or lymphatic system, spreading throughout the body.

Despite the possible seriousness of the situation, Preta said she was positive about the diagnosis: “I’m fine, my head is good, I’m much better than before when I started treatment in 2023. I am another black woman, full of the will to live.” And she asked: “I ask you to continue to pray for me.”
