The actress was cast to replace Beanie Feldstein as Fanny Brice in the Broadway musical
Actress Lea Michele, known for playing Rachel Berry on the show joywill star in the famous musical Broadway, funny Girl. Lea will replace the artist Feldstein capwho announced this Sunday, 10, the early departure of the show.
“When the production made the decision to take the show in another direction, I made the extremely difficult decision to distance myself sooner than I thought,” Beanie wrote in an Instagram post.
On Twitter, fans of joy recalled that Lea’s character Rachel dreamed of acting in the musical and was a fan of Barbra Streisend, a singer whose career was boosted after living Fanny Brice.
Additionally, Rachel Berry sang nearly every song from the Broadway production during the show’s six seasons and starred in the musical after graduating from the fictional William McKinley High School.
The official profile of the musical has announced that Lea Michele will make her debut in the musical in September 6.
