After it was revealed that Nahim’s death was due to “intoxication due to the use of highly addictive substances”, the singer’s ex-wife, Andreia Andradespoke about addiction in an interview with Cíntia Lima’s podcast, published on Saturday 24.

In her speech, she said she had not used cocaine with her ex-husband, contrary to what had been speculated. “I am making my blood available for testing,” she said.

One day he commented that he found the singer “weird” when he met him. And he said that he “had hell at home” after taking the drug.

Andrea explained why he had not spoken publicly about the matter. “I always wanted to preserve Nahim’s image, to respect his memory,” he said. And he explained that he was shocked when he saw the actor using drugs inside the house.

In this regard, he commented that when he questioned Nahim, he had stated that he was “using the substance recreationally”.

Emotional, she said she ended the relationship still loving the singer. “I ended up seeing if he would wake up. Before I loved him, I had to love myself,” she said.

The businesswoman also said she feared the publication of the report, since the case is under judicial secrecy. According to a note from the Secretariat of Public Security to the Statelast week, “the case was investigated by the 1st DP of Taboão da Serra and reported to the Judiciary this Wednesday 21. The details will be kept due to the decreed judicial secrecy”.

“We feared for the outcome of the test and for this day to come, because we knew that Nahim was using drugs and that we tried on several occasions to help him get rid of this damned addiction. We didn’t want to hide it from you, we wanted to preserve his image and the joy that he always transmitted to his fans”, he writes, commenting that he learned from the press – the news is reported by G1 – that “his death was caused by poisoning due to the use of highly addictive substances”.

Nahim was found dead in the house where he lived, in Taboão da Serra, on June 13, at the age of 71.
