The middle child of a librarian and a dentist, he was born in Mexico City, the capital of the country that produces iconic soap operas for the Brazilian public. As a child he wanted to become an airline pilot and took an important step towards that dream: at the age of 17 he began applying to enter an aviation school.
Luckily for the public, it was during this same period that he began to receive his first auditions as an actor.. Recognize? It is Alfonso Herrera, who will turn 41 this Wednesday (28) (+ see more photos of the artist’s childhood in the gallery below).
The actor officially began his career in film and television in 2002. World fame came very quickly: in 2004, Alfonso joined the cast of the soap opera “Rebelde” and played Miguel, one of the protagonists.. He was also invited to join the RBD group, which left the small screen and toured the world.
There have been four studio albums, countless hits – such as “Solo Quédate En Silencio” and “Nuestro Amor” – and four world tours, with visits to countries in Latin America, North America and Europe.
With the end of RBD in 2008, Alfonso did not follow in the footsteps of his five colleagues and devoted himself entirely to acting. In cinema alone, his work, including films and shorts, was 24, as an actor, voice actor and executive producer. His most notable role was that of Hernando in the series “Sense 8”, a global phenomenon on Netflix.
In 2023, RBD reunited for the acclaimed world tour “Soy Rebelde Tour”. Alfonso however preferred not to join. Node…
