The Minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes has ordered that the South African billionaire be summoned to designate, within 24 hours, the new legal representative in Brazil of his social network X, under penalty of suspension of the platform’s activities in the country.
The subpoena states that Musk will be summoned electronically to appoint a legal representative “under penalty of immediate suspension of the activities of the social network ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) until the court orders are effectively complied with and the daily fines are paid.”
