Dabro group: 10 short questions

Dabro group: 10 short questions

______________________________

What did you spend your first fee on?

Vanya: I remember that we bought new musical instruments, equipment for the studio.

Name your favorite movie.

Misha: I like films based on real events. A good film “Ray” about Ray Charles is a real story, but like a fictional script.
Vanya: There are few such films, they can be counted on the fingers. Another cool movie “A Star Is Born”, I plan to review it. Very inspiring. I can’t help but mention “8 Mile”.

How did the name of your band come about?

Misha: At the same time, as we were looking for ourselves and looking for our own style, we thought about the name of our group. And as soon as we found our sound and understood what exactly we wanted to convey, the name appeared. It characterizes our message, mood, and also contains a reminder that we are brothers.

Is there a formula for creating a hit?

Vanya: I think there is no formula. If it were, then for all musicians every song was a hit. But not all songs become hits.
Misha: A hit in our understanding is a song that people love, sing and remember for many years. Such songs are created for a long time and live for a long time. A song on the chart is not the same as a hit. A hit is something more, it is not a fashion or a trend. These are songs that become classics of the genre.

Do you have phobias?

Vanya: No, or maybe we did not get into situations where they could manifest themselves.

What was your main pastime as a child?

Misha: Like everyone else, in childhood we loved to walk. Play basketball in the yard, go swimming in the river. By the way, I also liked skateboarding since childhood.
Vanya: Music appeared quite early, in early childhood. I remember how we could sit for hours inventing something on my father’s synthesizer.

What song would you pick out of all yours?

Vanya: This is always very difficult to do. After all, each song is dear and loved in its own way. Each has its own associations, feelings or memories.
Misha: We will always be grateful to the song “Youth”, it helped to realize our dreams, thanks to it we can realize our ideas of any scale. Whether it’s recording an orchestra or shooting a video.

Favorite joke that only you understand?

Vanya: I like the joke about musicians who have been locked up for many years. And when they were released, they went out, talked about music for another 40 minutes, and only then dispersed (laughs).
Misha: It’s very vital, it’s true, we can never talk enough about music, no matter how much time we spend talking.

If not musicians, what would you be?

Misha: I think that in any case they would be engaged in creative professions. Shooting videos, composing and writing scripts, organizing festivals or concerts.
Vanya: All the same, they would do what is connected with music.

The script for the new video “Let’s get drunk” seems to be taken from life?

Misha: This is exactly the case. When we wrote this song, we immediately understood what we were going to shoot and show in the video.
Vanya: Yes, the idea was not long in coming. I am satisfied with this work, and the result of two million views already indicates that such stories occur not only in our lives.
